Hades Major is a Yellow Dwarf star in the Khazan Cluster, not too dissimilar form Earth's Sun and like Sol it has attracted a number of planets to itself. It seems this system at some point did support life and when first explored by a task force from Starbase 332 the system was defended by an aggressive automated defense ship of considerable power.
Hades I
Closest to the sun this planet is the least habitable of all the planets in the system, little more than a crust of rock around a heavy metal core the planet is constantly baked by the sun making any form of habitation unfeasible, however orbital scans show signs the planet was heavily mined at some point in it's past, currently opinion is split between two possibilities, ether the mining was carried out by some form of mobile mining equipment that was able to stick in the planets night side and thus avoid the blistering heat of the sun or that the mining outposts were subterranean in nature.
Hades II
Larger and slightly more habitable than it's neighbor, H2 is also unlikely to have developed life on its own as the surface is mostly rock and what little atmosphere it has is far to thin to support life, however there is evidence of some terraforming having been done here in the past and the distinct possibility exists that at it's prime the planet could of supported life in some of the deeper valleys and orbital scans have detected the remains of structures in a few places.
Hades III
The planet supports a M Class atmosphere and although the gravity is somewhat higher than earth norm this planet shows all the signs of being an idea environment for supporting life and numerous ruins of what must once have been bustling cities dot the planets surface... however the planet is total and utterly devoid of life and has been so for thousands of years, whatever weapons or device was so thoroughly able to strip all life from this planet and do so in such an effect manner effective manner that life still hasn't reasserted itself even after thousands of years is unknown. Current intelligence strongly points towards this planet having been the source of the egg like bio weapons recovered from the crashed Romulan ship.
Hades IV
The final planetary body in the system is little more than rock and ice barely larger than a moon, scans have show nothing currently of interest here and no signs of any previous habitation or exploitation.
Notes: Exploration of the system is ongoing and plans to send landing parties down to Hades III are currently in the works, a series of monitoring satellites have been seeded around the system and at least one ship is currently station within the station at all times to keep away any other visitors, for the time being it seems Starfleet are the first people here since the crew of the I.R.W Teverresh over a century earlier, however with the sentinel ship destroyed no chances are being taken with any other groups stumbling across any leftover and potentially dangerous technology.
((anyone interested in exploring the Hades system let an officer know and we can provide you with information, eventually we will be doing some IC exploration possibly as episode 5))
