Captain's Personal log stardate 91544.09
Well we're finally here, I almost cant believe it starbase 332... on some level even after going on the sensor data I still figured this was some sort of mistake or a trick, but here I am sat in the commanders office looking out over the assembled fleet, it's a lot to take in.
We entered the system 6 hours ago only to be greeted by a sizable Romulan fleet, things were pretty evenly matched thank the Prophets the Romulans hadn't managed to crack the stations command codes, if 332's weapons had be brought to bear against us things could of gone much worse, as it is the Agincourt and Renegade both took serious damage and will be out of action for some time and well lost the Churchill, fortunately the crew all made it too the escape pods before the warp core detonated.
Setting foot on 332 itself after the battle was eerie, everything was untouched, lights on, systems running, not even any dust the place might as well of been abandoned yesterday not over three decades ago. Security teams are still sweeping the place luckily with the main computer accepting command codes and the internal sensors up and running we have most of the stragglers already rounded up and ready for transport back to New Romulus, of the original crew we've found no trace... a few personal items here and there but no bodies and all the stations logs end before the station was hit by the storm, still we might find some clues soon theirs a lot of station to search after all.
Long range scanners and a lot of external facilities are still off line ether not finished in the first place or else damaged during the fighting, I've instructed my new XO to organise sweeps of the area, we dont want any cloaked Romulan ships ambushing our people as we start exploring this system. I just hope the early optomisum about this systems asteroid bet is warranted have access to a steady supply of raw materials would certainly help right about now.
